Job description

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the VP Finance with performance management and cost analysis for internal reporting to aid management decision making. This role involves collaborating with all departments across the Bank.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building new cost MI for monthly tracking of department-wise costs, actuals vs budget analysis and analytical review on cost drivers.
  • Preparing analysis to aid management decision making on cost savings.
  • Supporting the team with performance management; assisting with production of reports for EMC, ALCO, Business Heads with associated reconciliations and analytical review.
  • Refining and enhancing MI reports to aid management decision making.
  • Enhancing the presentation of reports for easy interpretation.
  • Business Partnering with all departments for information gathering, seeking clarifications and making recommendations.
  • Supporting the team with systems implementations.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and implement best practices.
  • Ensuring timely delivery and high quality of all reporting requirements.
  • Preparing ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by senior management.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce or other related fields.

Professional / Technical Qualifications / Diploma:

  • A professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is mandatory.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of post-degree experience in the banking or finance sector performing a similar role.

Other Skills Required for the Job:

  • An analytical mind.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • Systems knowledge and an advanced level of expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
