Senior Officer - Copywriting

About the Job:

The Role holder will be responsible for supporting the English editorial team in content creation for day-to-day marketing campaigns, apps and web, videos, and other projects. The role entails working closely with cross-functional departments and editing, updating, and occasionally cleaning up outdated content, focusing on our customer base in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Responsibilities:

1. Creating English content for all sales and marketing materials across Almosafer's portfolio of brands, including social media (editorial content creation and conceptualization for static assets, video projects, animations, and more), while fulfilling the wider department’s copywriting requirements.
2. Write engaging, concise, and effective copy.
3. Work closely with cross-functional departments to assess and resolve any challenges in displaying the right content.
4. Ensure content is aligned with the brand’s tone, guidelines, and project objectives.
5. Work on editorial content predominantly on Google Drive docs, plus CMS content updates.

Profile Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English Literature, or a related field.
2. 2 -3 years of experience.
3. A superior grasp of the English language and previous experience in writing for online platforms & social media campaigns.
4. Experience in writing blogs and long-form editorial content.
5. Strong research skills.
6. Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO.
7. Knowledge of the travel industry is preferred.
8. Creative writing skills.
9. Communications skills.
10. Experience with Google Drive docs.
11. Experience with collaborative task management tools (e.g. Trello) preferred.
