Senior Officer Business Continuity (BCM)
To implement and oversee the business continuity, crisis and emergency response systems.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Establish and implement processes and procedures related to business continuity management in improving business resilience.
- To ensure business recovery plans are adequate.
Training
- Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees on business resilience principles and procedures.
- Facilitate regular drills and exercises to test and improve the organization's response to various scenarios.
Testing
- Prepare & execute tests on business continuity plans and disaster recovery & response plans with business units.
- Develop effective corrective actions arising from these tests and ensure implementation.
Reports
- Conduct periodic management review of Business Continuity Management with the executive management and the BC Committee.
- Prepare management review and periodic performance reports to aid and assist business functions.
- Provide professional assistance to the business champions of functional departments in carrying out Business Impact Assessments, Risk Assessments and drills.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Audit
- Plan, co-ordinate audit the management systems to facilitate compliance with the required policies, processes and procedures.
Emergency Response
- Monitor the Review of emergency preparedness and response by ensuring adequate testing of scenarios and drills to test existing mitigation measures.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to align business resilience initiatives with organizational goals.
- Build relationships with external partners, emergency services, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and lessons learned analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement enhancements to business resilience plans based on evolving organizational needs and emerging risks.
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: Degree in Science or Engineering. Specialized training in Business Continuity standards. Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery.
Desirable: Master's degree in management or Knowledge of international best practice e.g. CBCI, MBCI etc. and Lead auditor of ISO 22301 must be obtained, if possible, within a minimum of 12 months from the date of joining the position.
