Title: Senior Network & Security Engineer

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Dubai

Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting various different network architecture.
• Designing and implementing business solutions using common network equipment.
• Monitoring and diagnosing performance issues.
• Configuring and managing Cisco ACI fabric.
• Configuring and managing Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet firewalls to maintain strong network security and performance.
• Implementing and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of our data and systems.
• Designing, implementing and monitoring secure, scalable network architectures that reduce risks and improve network performance, including both LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi environments.
• Designing, writing and updating system documentation and network diagrams.
• Creating and implementing network security measures/mitigations as recommended.
• Managing Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet routing and switching systems to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity across Data Center & all branches/back offices.
• Handling network and security support issues reported on a day-to-day basis.
• Providing network status reports.
• Configuring & managing monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds and Riverbed.
• Deploying and maintaining F5 & Citrix load balancers to support application delivery and enhance network security.
• Regularly performing security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement remediation measures.
• Leading network upgrades and new deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Implementing micro-segmentation strategies to limit lateral movement within the network and improve overall security.
• Maintaining detailed records of network configurations, security policies, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
• Working closely with IT operations, security team and other departments to integrate security measures/mitigation into all parts of the organization.
• Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and resolving escalated support cases efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with all company policies related to information security, and reporting incidents promptly to senior management.

Educational Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.

Industry Certifications:

• CCNP Routing & Switching, Security & Data Center.
• PCNSE.
• Fortinet NSE.
• CCIE Routing/Switching, Security & Data Center (Preferred).

Experience:

7-10 years of hands-on experience in network & security engineering, with expertise in ACI, Palo Alto, Fortinet & Cisco technologies, routing/switching, security, data center and Wi-Fi environments.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of network security principles, including experience with F5 load balancers, ASM/WAF, APM, GTM, ACI, Palo Alto, Fortinet & Cisco solutions.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts to varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially when it comes to solving complex network issues.
