What are my responsibilities?
Install and commission equipment according to the supervisor's instructions, fully complying with SOPs and Site Safety rules and regulations.
Execute installation works, including reading drawings, setting out equipment datums, and alignment of equipment and steel structures.
Able to adapt to install all equipment in Siemens BHS portfolio, and make minor modifications to mechanical equipment, support with testing and commissioning.
Use of suitable PPE and strict adherence to safety procedures in order to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
Carries out periodical checks/maintenance inspections stated on the checklist.
Assist other disciplines/teams in reaching the project goal.
Takes charge of the tools required for the shift’s job task and ensures proper usage and maintenance.
Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and takes appropriate precautions during working hours.
Safety: Will be responsible/accountable for following occupational health, safety, security, environment, and quality.
What do I need to qualify for the role?
Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Training Institute certification (ITI), or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Installing and Commissioning equipment in the Industrial automation project or in Baggage/Material Handling Systems.
Hands-on knowledge of operations, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting of automated systems.
Able to adjust and modify equipment according to Engineering changes and actual situations.
Good understanding of Baggage/Material Handling Systems flow.
Analytical, good at problem diagnosis and root cause analysis etc.
Reviewing and assessing current processes and deduction of improvements.
Awareness/Knowledge of quality/safety procedures.
Being able to be responsible for a small group of maintenance assistants.
Good communication skills in the English language, and important to have worked in different cultural areas adapting to the cultural work ethics.
