Responsibilities:
Lead the on-site mechanical engineering team, ensuring all activities align with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to manage the installation and operation of mechanical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Conduct regular inspections of mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
Implement quality control processes to monitor materials and workmanship, identifying and addressing any issues proactively.
Review and approve design modifications, adapting to site conditions while ensuring safety and performance requirements are met.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to align mechanical activities with overall project goals and schedules.
Ensure all mechanical activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and daily logs, for transparent project tracking.
Provides input to the monthly progress report as directed by the Resident Engineer.
Requirements:
Master's / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
15+ years of experience in architectural design with a focus on high-rise buildings.
Must have high-rise experience and an Authorities experience.
Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and regulations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
