Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC)

Description:

The purpose of this role is to supervise the development of functional designs for projects, ensuring compliance with Stantec's Quality Standards and client, and Statutory Authority requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing Mechanical (HVAC) Design delivery, managing the design team, coordinating with all disciplines and stakeholders, understanding budgeting for projects, liaising with clients and authorities, demonstrating ownership and mentoring capabilities, maintaining project documentation, and anticipating and mitigating project risks.

Qualifications:

• Must have 12 to 15 years total experience, with at least five years in the Middle East, preferably in the UAE.
• Must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• SOE, Dubai Municipality approval, LEED certification preferable.
• Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, capable of directing and supporting engineering staff with concise and detailed instructions.
• A full understanding of standard industry software and experience working with international consultants and within a team of 10 or more is essential.
