Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee cluster's portfolio initiatives, projects, products and programs and ensure alignment with overall business strategies and goals.
  2. Evaluate the portfolio regularly and manage effective execution of enhancements based on changing business needs.
  3. Develop and implement a comprehensive reporting strategy, including dashboards, reports, and presentations, to effectively communicate the performance and status of the portfolio initiatives to stakeholders.
  4. Oversee opportunities for portfolio cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  5. Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, product leads, product owners, and cross-functional teams, to understand needs, gather insights and ensure effective communication regarding the status of the portfolio.
  6. Identify and assess risks associated with portfolio initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful project delivery.
  7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the portfolio management processes.
  8. Implement best practices and stay informed about industry trends to enhance methodologies and approaches.
  9. Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of performance data and reports generated for the portfolio initiatives.

People Management Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic leadership for the portfolio and reporting team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  2. Mentor and guide a team of professionals, encouraging their professional development and growth.
  3. Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for professional growth.
  4. Participate in the recruitment process and organizational restructuring efforts to bring in individuals with the right skill sets and cultural fit for the team.
  5. Ensure that the team has access to the necessary resources, including budget and technology, to support their projects.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee portfolio budget for initiatives, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  2. Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure the portfolio initiatives comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
  3. Translate cluster strategies into detailed initiatives.
  4. Act to beat profitability or revenue goals, seize opportunities to push the envelope and take on new options.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Master's degree is a plus.
  3. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, ITIL, PMO) are advantageous.
  4. Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage.
  5. A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a similar role.
  6. Experience in Portfolio management role.
  7. Extensive experience in portfolio management, project management, strategic planning or a similar leadership role.
  8. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
