Overview:

The Senior Manager Communications will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to elevate the brand and product messaging for Inception. Reporting to the Senior Director Product Marketing, this role will play a key part in shaping external and internal narratives supporting product launches, driving media relations, and enhancing overall brand presence. The Senior Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing and leadership teams to create consistent, impactful messaging that aligns with business objectives and resonates with target audiences.

The opportunity:

The position serves as a key liaison between product marketing and the broader organization, ensuring that communication initiatives align with business goals. By amplifying product launches, media visibility, and internal engagement, the Senior Manager Communications will contribute to Inception's growth trajectory and market leadership. This role is integral in managing the public perception of Inception and ensuring the company’s narrative resonates across global markets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Communications Planning:
    Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to support product launches, brand campaigns, and corporate initiatives. Ensure consistency in messaging across all channels including public relations, internal communications, and digital platforms.
  2. Product Launch Support:
    Work closely with the product marketing team to develop communications plans for product launches including media outreach, press releases, and product storytelling. Develop targeted messaging that highlights product features, benefits, and differentiators to key audiences including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  3. Media Relations & Public Relations:
    Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry analysts, and key influencers to secure coverage that supports brand and product initiatives. Manage press releases, media pitches, interviews, and feature articles to enhance visibility for Inception in key markets. Act as a company spokesperson ensuring accurate and engaging representation in media interactions.
  4. Content Creation and Management:
    Oversee the development of content for press releases, blogs, social media, newsletters, and other communication materials. Collaborate with the creative and digital teams to produce compelling visual and written content that supports product marketing initiatives. Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice and overall company narrative.
  5. Internal Communications:
    Partner with Human Capital and leadership teams to manage internal communication channels ensuring employees are informed and engaged with key product launches and corporate updates. Develop messaging and materials for internal announcements, presentations, and company events.
  6. Crisis Communications:
    Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to manage potential risks and protect Inception's reputation. Act as a key player in the crisis management team ensuring quick and clear communication to stakeholders in times of crisis.
  7. Measurement & Reporting:
    Track and analyze the performance of communication campaigns providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Regularly report on communication metrics, media coverage, and campaign outcomes to the Senior Director Product Marketing and senior leadership.
  8. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with product marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure aligned messaging and communications strategies. Support leadership in communicating key business developments and strategic initiatives to both external and internal audiences.

Qualifications:

  1. 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related fields with a strong focus on product marketing or technology-driven industries.
  2. Proven track record of leading successful communications campaigns including media relations, content creation, and brand storytelling.
  3. Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, ideally within a product-centric or technology company.
