Job Title: Logistics Manager

Job Description:

1. Responsible for making shipment arrangements for inbound & outbound sea, land & air. Booking in deliveries and liaising with our plant set up. Booking sub-contractors and ensuring they deliver within agreed terms. Manage all import and export functions from pre-shipping, shipping to delivery of the consignment.
2. Reviewing, preparing pricing, quoting and routing all shipments, deliveries, costing, timelines in the most efficient way. Process orders received from overseas customers (Issue PO to supplier, SO to customer). Follow for the LC / Payment as per agreed terms (PO).
3. Follow suppliers for the readiness / dispatch of material. Responsible for timely procurement of goods and services.
4. Negotiate prices with logistic companies/shipping companies/sea lines and freight forwarders to ensure availing the best market rate. Liaising with the shipping company on all issues with consignment.
5. Responsible for documentation requirement of import and export of materials (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin etc). Manage customs documentation for clearing and forwarding. Liaise with UAE, Central & West African countries Customs & Port Authorities.
6. Manage Transfers within the Free Zone/ Mainland / Inter-Emirates. Experience of submitting the documents by Dubai trade, Mirsal2, RTA system. Well versed in Customs Documentation / Clearances through E-MIRSAL.
7. Ensure receipt of invoice from the vendors and forwarders & forward the same to accounts department for payment process.
8. Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Update stakeholders on the status of their shipments in transit. Develop reports on cargo movements and various operational logistics issues. Coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations.
9. Preparing various reports on weekly / monthly basis related to Finance & Export data. Assess existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
10. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supply chain, setting clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Bachelors or Master’s degree in relevant field.
2. 12 to 18 years of experience in relevant field.
3. Understanding of the supply chain. Must have worked in DMCC Freezone.
4. Knowledge of regulation, rules, and best practices of logistics in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai Trade - E MIRSAL 2, Africa (special focus on West & Central Africa).
5. Expert inventory management, extensive knowledge of logistics for import, export, shipping, customs clearance, documentation, warehousing.
6. Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, laws, and policies regarding logistics.
7. Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
8. Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
9. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyse and resolve problems swiftly.
10. Advanced data analysis and data visualization.
11. Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
12. Proficient with MS office suite, ERP, SAP & Dynamic.
