Summary: As a rapidly growing beauty and social media company, we are looking for a dynamic, creative, and strategic Senior Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Manager,to drive internal engagement and strengthen our company culture. In this pivotal role, you will lead and develop the internal communications strategy, ensuring clear, impactful messaging across our Teams. The role will be responsible for fostering a strong, inclusive and connected workplace while aligning communication efforts with the Company’s goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, own, and implement a global internal communications strategy to ensure alignment with company objectives and brand identity.
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans that maximize employee engagement, reinforce company culture, and enhance the overall employee experience worldwide.
- Create and implement effective frameworks for internal communications across all global locations to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Manage and oversee all internal communication platforms and collaborate closely with Tech teams to drive continuous improvement and optimize user experience.
- Partner with leadership to advise and support the development of internal communication strategies that resonate across different regions and teams.
- Provide guidance and tools to leaders, ensuring messages are delivered in the right time and in the appropriate tone of voice (TOV).
- Oversee and organize the global internal communication content library to ensure it is accessible and up-to-date for all teams.
- Manage the internal content calendar, ensuring content is timely, relevant, and engaging, while minimizing communication fatigue across teams.
- Partner with offices globally to support and manage local content creators in various office locations, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall communication strategy.
- Oversee all knowledge sharing platforms and tools, including third-party providers, intranet, and internal social media, to foster seamless collaboration.
- Manage the annual internal communications budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact.
- Regularly review and update internal communication practices, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with company values and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Social and People & Culture teams to create and implement internal social activities and initiatives that strengthen company culture.
- Actively contribute to the growth and success of the company by proposing new initiatives and ideas that enhance internal communications and employee engagement.
- Develop innovative, engaging content, including written communications and videography, to enhance internal engagement.
- Manage employee-focused external content on LinkedIn, including the content calendar, and the employee social media platforms to support employer branding initiatives.
- Oversee and manage large-scale employee initiatives, including recognition programs and team building events.
- Lead storytelling efforts to celebrate team success, key milestones, and employee contributions.
- Act as the company’s senior culture ambassador with a core focus on enhancing employee experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or additional certifications in Internal Communications or Organizational Development is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related roles.
- Experience in creating, managing, and optimizing internal communication strategies to support company growth, employee engagement, and leadership goals Experience in strategic planning and execution, with the ability to develop and implement communication strategies that align with business objectives.
- Experience within fast-paced, scaling environments is essential, ideally in the beauty, fashion, or social media sectors.
- Strong understanding of employee engagement principles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale engagement and communication strategies and campaigns.
- Proficiency in content creation including writing, editing, video production, and design (experience with content management systems, video editing software like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, and design tools like Canva or Photoshop), is desirable.
- Experience managing knowledge sharing platforms (e.g., intranet systems, internal social media) and tools used to foster collaboration and transparency.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and execute complex communication initiatives.
- Analytical mindset with experience tracking communication effectiveness through metrics (e.g., surveys, engagement rates, feedback) and using data to improve strategies.
