Job Purpose
The Senior Communications and PR Manager will be responsible for managing the company's internal and external communications, including public relations, media relations, content strategy, and crisis management. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong writing and media relations skills, as well as a deep understanding of the real estate industry. This role will work closely with senior leadership, marketing, and external agencies to enhance brand visibility, promote thought leadership, and manage the company's public image.
Responsibilities
Public Relations Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy to enhance brand visibility and reputation in the real estate industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
- Proactively pitch company news, press releases, and story ideas to secure media coverage in trade publications, local, national, and industry media.
- Manage the development and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
Internal Communications:
- Lead internal communications strategies to enhance employee engagement, foster company culture, and align the workforce with business goals.
- Develop and implement internal communication campaigns, including newsletters, intranet content, and employee updates.
- Advise leadership on messaging for internal announcements, company news, and organizational changes.
- Ensure clear, transparent, and consistent communication across all levels of the company.
- Work closely with HR and other departments to maintain positive internal relationships and enhance employee experience through communication.
Content Creation & Management:
- Create compelling content for the company's website, blog, social media channels, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Craft executive speeches, articles, and thought leadership pieces to position key company leaders as industry experts.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Brand Positioning & Messaging:
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and voice across all communications.
- Work with leadership to align PR efforts with business goals and corporate values.
- Provide strategic guidance on external communications during significant corporate events or announcements.
Crisis Communications:
- Manage crisis communication efforts, including creating protocols, drafting statements, and coordinating with senior management.
- Develop crisis communication plans to protect the company's reputation and minimize potential damage.
Event and Media Relations Management:
- Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and company-sponsored activities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and media interactions as necessary.
Performance Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and media coverage, using data and analytics to measure ROI and adjust strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of communications professionals, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Work closely with other departments, including marketing, sales, and real estate teams, to ensure communication efforts support overall business objectives.
- Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature from the tenants and other stakeholders in Abu Dhabi such as DCT.
- Help and design presentations and reports
- Assist the marketing function with any related activities.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
8 years of work experience in relevant role.
