Senior Manager - Accounting

Madison Pearl is partnering with a financial institution based in Abu Dhabi for an opportunity of Sr Manager Accounting. The purpose of this role is to supervise the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and analyze financial data to ensure compliance with IFRS.
2. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
3. Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable).
4. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
5. Monitor actual performance against budget and highlight any significant variances.
6. Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
7. Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Professional qualifications such as CMA, ACCA, or CPA are desirable.
3. Hands-on experience in IFRS standards and IPSAS.
4. Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant role, with at least 3 in a supervisory or managerial role.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Emiratis are preferred.
