Position: Senior Machine Shop Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Shop Operator to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machines in our machine shop ensuring the production of high quality components for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
2. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machine set up and production requirements.
3. Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances are met.
4. Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy making necessary adjustments as needed.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production.
6. Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performance.
7. Train and mentor junior machine shop operators as needed.
8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all safety protocols and procedures.
9. Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve processes and optimize production efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machine shop operator with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
3. Extensive knowledge of various machining techniques and equipment.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
5. Strong attention to detail and quality control.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
10. Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
11. Experience with CNC machines is a plus.

Contract Details: This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The contract will be for an initial period of one year with the possibility of extension based on performance.
