Senior Logistics Manager- Polymer/Petrochemical Trading

• Coordinate and oversee all logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Monitor and track the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other logistics data.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with logistics providers, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Train and supervise logistics staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present reports and recommendations to management.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Co-ordinate with finance/accounts to plan supplier and line payments.
• Check LC/CAD documents before submission.
• Day-to-day team management and assignment of roles/responsibilities to your reportees.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and timely executed.
• Negotiate and build partnerships with ocean and air carriers, as well as road transport and warehousing service providers.
• Preparation and supervision of Import/Export documents, LCs.
• Liasing between the customer and supplier and ensuring smooth operation of business.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A post graduate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or another related field is preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in Import / Re-export and Cross-trade, preferably within GCC region.
• Experience in Polymer/Plastic trading preferable.
• Experience in trading company essential.
• Sales experience with success in the cold-calling environment.
• Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.
• Ability to make quick, smart business decisions.
• Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively train others, preferably with experience in doing so.
• Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills, ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
