Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations.
  2. Oversee and manage logistics team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  3. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
  4. Monitor and analyze transportation costs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations for the transportation of goods.
  6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline logistics processes and reduce costs.
  7. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet customer service requirements and delivery deadlines.
  8. Implement inventory management best practices to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, vendors, and internal departments.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and technology advancements to recommend improvements to logistics operations.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in logistics or supply chain management role.
  3. Strong understanding of transportation, distribution, and warehousing operations.
  4. Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
