Job Title: Senior Associate, Litigation

Overview: Our Client is a leading multi-disciplinary law firm in the GCC region. The role of the senior associate is to effectively and efficiently manage high-level cases assigned to them. The senior associate is to ensure all aspects related to the client's cases assigned to the Firm are handled in a professional manner with the required diligence and attention and to avoid errors or omissions.

The responsibilities include:

1. Supervise the team of associates assigned on the matter/case to ensure the work conducted by the associates on matters/cases assigned is handled efficiently and effectively and to ensure smooth workflow.
2. Ensure proper case management and smooth progress of work.
3. Oversee that all administrative aspects of the case assignment are professionally handled.

The senior associate must be fluent in English and Arabic (both written and verbal). The Dispute Resolution team specializes in both onshore and offshore litigation, including DIFC and ADGM cases. This work demands an in-depth knowledge of the Federal laws applicable in the UAE, as well as offshore rules and procedures. The team adeptly navigates between the various laws and regulations in force across the UAE.

In addition to litigation, our focus includes pre-action procedures, such as:

1. Issuing legal notices
2. Providing legal opinions to clients on matters like dispute jurisdiction, settlement proposals, and claim merit evaluations.

The role reports directly to the Partner. This is a full-time position based in their Dubai office.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in a similar capacity with a reputable law firm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Must have experience working professionally in the UAE.
