We are looking for highly qualified Senior Lead Service Technician, to be located in Dubai, UAE.

Role Summary
The Senior Lead Service Technician is responsible for overseeing comprehensive inspections, advanced maintenance and the more advanced tasks of Marine Fire Service (MFS) equipment. This role will primarily focus on project planning, execution and leadership.

Primary Tasks

  • Monitor company safety and quality protocols, ensuring compliance of the site with local & global QHSE requirements & policies.
  • Set objectives and achieve day-to-day goals whilst delivering results.
  • Conduct training sessions for more junior technicians, achieving and maintaining high level competencies.
  • Preparation of service paperwork for certification.
  • Work with checklists and manuals to ensure proper maintenance and inspection procedures are being adhered to.
  • Conduct more complex 5 & 10 year CO2 LP inspections.
  • Monitor Service Technicians' accurate inspection and provision of certification on completion of service.
  • Correct record keeping and use of spare parts and consumables.
  • Responsible for reporting any complaints or non-conformities immediately, and to secure immediate corrective action.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project planning and execution of MFS tasks, including dry docking projects, rigs and other advanced assignments.
  • Maintain close working relationships with planners regarding scheduling of service.
  • Serve as primary contact for vessel superintendents, officers and crew during inspections and maintenance service.
  • Conduct and participate in risk assessment processes and improvement planning.
  • Tool calibration at appropriate intervals.
  • Verification of maintenance procedures to OEM and industry standards.
  • Accurate service documentation completion and submission.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Recommended CEFR Level - B2.
  • Advanced Mechanical and/or electrical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the maritime sector and its operational requirements.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 6 - 8 years demonstrable experience working with the following equipment types:
    • Portable Fire Extinguishers (Powder, CO2, Foam and Water).
    • Fixed installation CO2, Powder, Foam and water based fire systems.
    • Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and Emergency Escape Breathing Devices (EEBD).
    • Hydraulic pressure testing for CO2, AIR, N2 Cylinders.
    • Water hydrants, including applicable hoses, couplings and branch pipes.
    • Portable gas detection equipment.

Working Environment
The Senior Lead Service Technician will be working both in a warehouse/service facility and on board vessels and will require the physical ability to conduct manual labour over extended periods whilst maneuvering around obstacles on vessels (such as steep stairs, low overhead clearances). The routine travel by the Senior Lead Technician will be by vehicle; therefore, a driving licence is preferred.
