Job Description

Position: Senior ITS Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior ITS Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to carry out the review and design of ITS and Communications systems equipment and infrastructure for roads, urban, and Expressways projects in accordance with international and local standards, specifications, and procedures.

What You'll Be Doing

The Senior Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Engineer is responsible for:

1. Carrying out and leading the review and design of Traffic Control Systems for Signalized Junctions and CCTV Camera Systems.
2. Completing a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline.
3. Performing complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
4. Preparing and issuing specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
5. Providing ITS advice and guidance into various road and highway infrastructure projects.
6. Carrying out studies for the implementation and operation of ITS Applications.
7. Coordinating with clients and other disciplines.
8. Performing all required responsibilities and duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

1. BSc Degree in Electrical/Telecommunications/Computer/Electronics Engineering; MSc Degree would be a plus.
2. Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) or Professional Engineer (PE) would be a plus.
3. Minimum 10+ years post-graduate experience in Design of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Communications systems, and CCTV systems.
4. ITC Abu Dhabi approval for TCS and ITS Design is mandatory.
5. Experience in the design and operation of ITS infrastructure.
6. Experience in the design of Urban Traffic Control Systems (TCS).
7. Experience in the design of CCTV Systems.
8. In-depth knowledge of ITS, TCS, and CCTV design standards and procedures.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

1. Good communication and coordination skills.
2. Experience in the operation and maintenance requirements of ITS infrastructure.
3. Experience with electronics and telecommunications systems as related to ITS, TCS, and CCTV.
4. Knowledge of computer software applications related to ITS and CCTV.
5. Candidate with prior local experience with consultants.
6. Candidate with international experience with consultants would be a plus.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
8. Excellent presentation skills.
