Senior IT Security Specialist

Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and monitor IT security strategies to protect Fintech applications, platforms, and sensitive data.
2. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential risks.
3. Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to data protection and cybersecurity.
4. Lead the response to security incidents and work to investigate, resolve, and prevent future breaches.
5. Collaborate with DevOps, IT infrastructure, and software development teams to integrate security best practices into software development lifecycles.
6. Manage and improve identity and access management (IAM) processes, ensuring secure user authentication and authorization.
7. Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and Fintech industry trends, proactively adapting security measures.
8. Provide guidance on security architecture, including encryption, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems.
9. Lead training and awareness programs for employees to ensure best practices in data security.
10. Maintain and update security documentation and policies in alignment with evolving regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security within a Fintech company in the UAE.
2. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity protocols, encryption methods, and security frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001).
3. Proficient in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and knowledge of banking security technologies (e.g. payment gateways, PCI DSS).
4. Experience in implementing and maintaining firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security monitoring tools.
5. Familiarity with security incident management, vulnerability assessment tools, and risk management.
6. Strong understanding of UAE data protection laws, GDPR, and financial industry compliance requirements.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
