Job Description

• Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, as well as coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees. This includes initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees while ensuring a safe and secure work environment and fostering personal growth opportunities.
• Ensures the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Oversees technological research by analysing organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
• Completes projects by coordinating resources and schedules with user departments and the data centre.
• Verifies application results through system audits of the implemented technologies.
• Protects assets by establishing disaster recovery and backup procedures, along with implementing robust information security and control structures.
• Recommends IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying issues, analysing trends, and anticipating future requirements.
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting needs, preparing an annual budget, managing expenditures, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
