The Company

A leading international provider in the healthcare diagnostics sector, with a strong presence across Europe and a growing footprint in the Middle East. This opportunity is with a well established company with a global presence of over three decades for their operations in the UAE.

The Role

  • Oversee and manage all regional IT operations across UAE, ensuring alignment with global technology standards and local business needs.
  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) and HIS (Hospital Information Systems), ensuring seamless clinical workflows and regulatory compliance.
  • Administer and support the organization's ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365), facilitating cross-functional integration and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance the digital patient experience through the development and optimization of patient-facing platforms such as mobile applications, online portals, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Leverage data analytics to generate actionable business insights, supporting strategic decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Manage IT infrastructure and operations, including cloud services, network systems, cybersecurity, and IT service delivery.
  • Drive innovation through the adoption of AI and automation technologies to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Lead end-to-end project management activities, from business case development and stakeholder engagement to execution and post-implementation review.
  • Maintain oversight of IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services and alignment with business priorities.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal business stakeholders, influencing decision-making and promoting technology as a key business enabler.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a hands-on leader, actively engaging in operational problem-solving and not limited to vendor oversight or high-level strategy.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate is a seasoned and hands-on IT leader with a solid background in the healthcare, diagnostics, or FMCG sectors. They possess the technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership acumen required to drive digital transformation across a multi-market environment.

  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with proven success managing systems such as LIS/HIS and ERP (preferably Microsoft D365).
  • Strong exposure to patient experience technologies, including portals, apps, and digital touchpoints, with a focus on service enhancement.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate business insights through analytics, while also leading infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity operations.
  • Experience integrating AI and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Skilled in business partnering and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence decisions and align IT strategy with business goals.
  • Effective team leader and project manager, with a track record of building high-performing teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural environments.
