Responsible for managing and supervising the operations of the company's IT department and solving any problems that may occur. Scrutinizing the existing practices and procedures of every department and working directly with senior management to define system requirements. Design and propose solutions, configure the software, and train employees. Analyze customer needs and provide solutions for complex technical issues. Creating and presenting technical documentation to support projects. Providing guidance and advice to junior engineers. Conducting research on new technologies and products. Overseeing and negotiating projects and products with customers and vendors.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor the setup of workstations, diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computer systems.
Oversee the setup of workstations with computer and network connectivity for new employees; administer user login and email accounts.
Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring employees from completing their work.
Maintain Server, Virtual Machines, and End point security and implement automated patch update services and data security controls like encryption.
Work on servers, endpoints and handheld devices hardening by implementing hardening policies.
Secure the network by a VPN and connect remote offices to access the company databases.
Lead and drive in developing new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve employee satisfaction.
Follow emergency plans for equipment, power, or security failures when necessary and protect data and security.
Liaise and coordinate with all departments to identify computer or network equipment shortages, take quotations from different vendors, and place orders after approval.
Oversee local and wide area networks.
Host various applications on the cloud via Cloud Computing.
Make the network physically segregated and ensure clear access control and segregation architecture.
Support the ERP system for different departments of the organization such as Human Resources Management, Supply Management, Finance and Payroll, Employee Relationship Management, Inventory, Purchase, etc., by analyzing business environment flow and processes of each department and proposing best compatible solutions accordingly.
Help management generate reports on different activities and operations of each department.
