Senior Investment Solutions Specialist - Transport (Base in Beijing)

The Sectors, Themes and Finance Solutions (STF) Department drives the development of technical excellence and expansion of financing knowledge across sectors and themes to support AIIB's sovereign and non-sovereign investment operations. The Senior Investment Solutions Specialist - Transport is expected to support the Manager - Investment Solutions in delivering the unit business plan, as assigned by the Director General, STF.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Manager - Investment Solutions to lead the new business line development with a focus on transport.
• Identify and help provide justification of new products and new technologies that meet client needs, generate development impact, and align with the Bank's mandate.
• Support the operationalization of new products and financing modalities and the application of emerging technologies in the transport sector.
• Support the Bank's cross-border and connectivity projects, integrating key elements into eligible financing projects.
• Participate in dialogue with clients, co-financing partners, and other stakeholders on strategic issues to identify business opportunities in the transport sector.
• Advise clients on the preparation of transport project feasibility studies.
• Review and analyze clients' policy and regulatory frameworks and formulate time-bound policy actions.
• Prepare training manuals and materials to enhance the capacity of AIIB staff and clients.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or equivalent in transport engineering, transport economics, transport planning, traffic management, or related fields.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in related fields.
• In-depth understanding of the transport sector's challenges, particularly in developing countries.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with capacity to respond pragmatically to a wide range of transport sector issues.
• Proven track record in high-level policy dialogue and providing policy advice to governments.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a constructive team member in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
