Purpose of the role
The role of Senior International Business Development Manager is based in the LIB team in Dubai. This role is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of all insurance lines and managing renewals of your own portfolio with a focus on multinational companies (non-reverse flow) and IPMI insurers. The role involves remaining alert of market and regulatory updates, new products in the market, and developing relationships with International insurance companies and other industry players.

Your Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals with regular updates to Head of international distribution.
2. Monitor the sales pipeline and take appropriate action to ensure targets are achieved.
3. Remain up-to-date with global and local market and regulatory updates, new products, and industry trends to stay ahead of the competition.
4. Foster and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, clients, and other industry players.
5. Develop and maintain a sales plan that identifies target clients and opportunities.
6. Prepare sales reports and present them to senior management/key decision makers.
7. Collection of Premium.
8. Effectively manage a pipeline of prospects to meet short, medium, and long-term financial goals.
9. Implement a systematic communication plan on targeted prospects and have specific objectives for each meeting.
10. Provide activity reports and pipeline status (via pipeline management tool).
11. In conjunction with service team, work to ensure all activities undertaken on behalf of Lockton are compliant with internal standards and procedures and our regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance sales, with a focus on business development.
3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue goals.
4. Experience in managing a team of salespeople and providing coaching and mentoring.
5. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
6. Excellent relationship building and networking skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of the International insurance market and regulatory requirements in the UAE/GCC.
