Job description

Within the Gulf Baking Center team, you are responsible for the expertise support to industrial customers within the Gulf area. You will work in close collaboration with the Industrial Key Account Manager.

You will actively participate in product development (yeast and ingredients) in product launches with industrial customers in your area in close collaboration with the formulation team and the sales department.

Key responsibilities

  • Participating in the development and innovations of products and services in collaboration with R&D teams
  • Organizing industrial customers' reception at the regional baking center and external baking centers of our distribution companies
  • Baking trials:
    • Realizing trials for product development in connection with the formulation team
    • Analyzing the results
    • Presenting the results in the existing standard documents (test sheets...) to allow the exploitation of the results by all concerned departments
  • Realizing benchmarks for yeast and ingredients
  • Providing technical assistance to our customers for the use of our products and analyzing production processes to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement
  • Troubleshooting issues related to dough processing, baking, and packaging in the production of bread
  • Providing theoretical and practical training for internal teams and customers, including trainings for local baking technicians
  • Leading projects for customers to get technical/functional approval of current products or tailor-made products to start business
  • Proposing new Lesaffre solutions to customers and also to other colleagues from the company
  • Communicating with production manager, formulation, R&D manager, and GM
  • Monitoring market trends in the bakery business and advising on product innovation strategies
  • Recommending strategies to reduce costs and optimize resource utilization with our products

Qualifications:

Holding a baking certificate, you have a minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial breadmaking.

You master breadmaking techniques and associated ingredients (enzymes, sourdough) and understand the baking industrial processes.

You are client-oriented with excellent communication skills and are able to adapt to various interlocutors in a multicultural context. You enjoy transferring your know-how and experience with our internal collaborators.

You are able to work on cross-functional projects requiring autonomy, initiative, and anticipation.

You ensure the reliability and accuracy of information and are used to working with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

You have a keen sense of confidentiality.

Additional Information:

Frequent trips to be planned within the Gulf area.
