Senior HVAC Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview

The Senior HVAC Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the engineering, coordination, and execution of HVAC systems across assigned construction projects. Reporting to the site MEP Manager, this role ensures that all HVAC works are carried out in line with project specifications, quality standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineering & Technical Oversight
   • Review HVAC design documents, drawings, and material submittals in coordination with the technical and MEP managers.
   • Raise and manage RFIs and technical clarifications to ensure timely design resolutions.
   • Attend technical workshops with consultants and ensure recommended solutions are implemented.
   • Ensure HVAC designs are aligned with local codes, project requirements, and coordination with other MEP systems.
2. Site Supervision & Implementation
   • Monitor HVAC installation activities on site and ensure timely progress in line with project timelines.
   • Coordinate closely with MEP contractors, site teams, and other trades to ensure proper installation sequencing and space management.
   • Oversee testing, commissioning, and final inspection of HVAC systems.
   • Ensure QA/QC compliance and implementation of all related inspection and testing procedures.
3. Reporting & Communication
   • Provide regular updates and progress reports to the MEP Manager and Construction Manager.
   • Highlight any deviations, risks, or delays related to HVAC systems and propose corrective actions.
   • Attend weekly coordination meetings and contribute to strategic planning and issue resolution.
4. Coordination & Integration
   • Coordinate HVAC systems with ELV, plumbing, electrical, and structural trades.
   • Work with MEP contractors to develop interface drawings, installation guidelines, and scope clarifications.
   • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve coordination issues and support seamless project delivery.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of experience in HVAC systems within the MEP construction industry, including 2–3 years in the UAE in a senior role.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong understanding of HVAC design, installation, and commissioning practices.
• Familiarity with local codes, ASHRAE standards, and international best practices.
• Proficient in reading HVAC layouts, schematic diagrams, and equipment schedules.
• Hands-on experience with site supervision, technical documentation, and contractor coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
