The Role Guildhall is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior HSE Officer for a prestigious bridge construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE (Health Safety and Environment) management within the construction industry with specific experience in bridge construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HSE plans, risk assessments, HSE procedure documents, and monthly reports to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Identify potential safety hazards onsite and propose preventive measures to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure that safety standards are consistently adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage and maintain safety documentation ensuring they are up to date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide HSE training and guidance to project teams and contractors.
Monitor and report on HSE performance to senior management suggesting improvements as necessary.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in HSE management with at least 2 years of experience in bridge construction or related infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to develop and manage HSE documents including plans, risk assessments, procedures, and monthly reports.
Strong experience in identifying safety hazards onsite and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and senior management.
Proficient in using standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
Must hold a NEBOSH Level 3 or higher certification along with other relevant HSE certifications (e.g. OSHAD/ADOSH).
A University degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
