Senior HSE Engineer (Onshore) Job Description

A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, IT, Computer, Software, Electronic, etc.) or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience (with design experience) in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years in the GCC region.

Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. This category also includes the offshore diver Senior Safety Representative position who shall have the following minimum requirements:

1. Engineering Degree or equivalent.
2. Holding professional IMCA diving certificates.
3. Fifteen (15) years’ experience in Oil & Gas including a minimum of five (5) years in the GCC region.
4. Five (5) years’ experience as Diving Safety Representative Engineer.
5. Five (5) years in diving pipelines/structures inspection and/or maintenance onboard vessels/barges.
6. Five (5) years diving experience in construction and/or civil work.

Well-versed in carrying out diving inspection/maintenance projects and/or contracts. Should possess:

1. Teamwork skills.
2. Capability to strategize.
3. Analytical/Decision Making Skills.
4. Knowledge of HSE (NEBOSH/IOSH) Management.
5. Capability in preparing diving operations “Scope of Work” for inspection/maintenance of projects.
6. Project Management skills.
7. Fluent in English (read/write).
8. Well-versed in IT & its application in relation to work requirements.
