Senior General Ledger Accountant

We are looking to hire a Senior Accountant General Ledger who will be responsible for record to reporting and general ledger management for our client based in Dubai - which is one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable.

Key responsibilities:

1. Perform General Ledger and RTR activities, including accrual entries and reporting systems.
2. Oversee month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
3. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
5. Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and company policies.
6. Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
2. ACCA, CA or CPA or relevant professional certification preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
4. Proficiency in reconciliation processes and month-end closing activities for GL.
5. Proficiency in Oracle Fusion is mandatory.
6. Prior experience with shared services operations is highly desirable.

Preference will be given to candidates available immediately; we cannot afford a notice period.
