Senior General Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
2. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
3. Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
4. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections.
5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
6. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
7. Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
8. Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
9. Continuously improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 7 years in a senior role.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
6. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
