Alexander Ash are seeking a skilled ServiceNow UI Developer to design and implement user interfaces and front-end solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with ServiceNow administrators, back-end developers, and stakeholders to deliver engaging and user-friendly applications while adhering to platform best practices and organizational standards.
This is a contract role with one of our leading financial services clients and will be based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement responsive, intuitive user interfaces within the ServiceNow platform.
Customize ServiceNow portals, widgets, and dashboards using the ServiceNow UI Builder, AngularJS, and/or React.
Translate wireframes and mockups into functional front-end designs.
Work on the Service Portal to create and enhance user experiences.
Develop and maintain custom widgets, catalog items, and forms.
Collaborate with the back-end team to integrate APIs and server-side scripts into the UI.
Partner with ServiceNow administrators and developers to ensure seamless functionality and alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with designers to enhance UI/UX consistency and aesthetics.
Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new and existing applications.
Optimize UI components for performance and scalability.
Ensure applications are mobile-friendly and adhere to responsive design principles.
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ARIA).
Maintain adherence to ServiceNow platform development guidelines and organizational coding standards.
Debug and resolve UI-related issues within the ServiceNow platform.
Continuously improve and update existing UI components and solutions.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Experience with ServiceNow development tools such as:
Service Portal Designer
UI Builder
Widget Editor
Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules like ITSM, CSM, or HRSD.
Familiarity with REST APIs and AJAX for data integration within ServiceNow.
Knowledge of ServiceNow-specific scripting (e.g., Glide APIs).
Understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
Proficiency with UI/UX design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
Experience customizing ServiceNow branding and themes.
Knowledge of user-centered design principles.
