As a Senior FPGA Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of FPGA-based systems. Leveraging your deep technical expertise, you will contribute to the full FPGA development lifecycle, from architecture definition to detailed implementation and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop FPGA specifications and architectures from product requirements and high-level block diagrams.
- Design and implement system-on-chip solutions using embedded ARM processors, such as Zynq Ultrascale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, and systems engineers) to ensure seamless integration of FPGA designs into larger systems.
- System design, integration, debugging, and testing both in the lab and the field, with a focus on transitioning designs into manufacturing.
- Develop baseband solutions for communication waveforms, IP communication interfaces, and high-speed connections.
- Optimize FPGA design for performance, timing closure, and resource utilization while ensuring robustness and reliability.
- Bring up and debug custom FPGA-based PCBs, utilizing hardware debuggers, chip scopes, and on-chip simulators.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in FPGA design within the wireless communication domain.
- Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog.
- Experience with testbench design, verification, regression testing, and debugging tools across various FPGA platforms.
- Expertise in FPGA architecture, design optimization, and timing closure.
- Experience with SoC platforms such as Zynq and Zynq Ultrascale, including DDR, JESD, Ethernet interfaces, and AXI buses.
- Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for scripting and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to complex, forward-thinking technologies.
