Senior Finishing Technician in (Central Mechanical Maintenance) EMSTEEL Group

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauling of Finishing Section equipment to ensure optimal production, safety, and efficiency in a steel manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled corrective maintenance and major repairs to minimize downtime.
2. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Attend to mechanical issues during shutdowns to ensure smooth plant operations.
3. Inspection & Compliance: Conduct equipment inspections to meet safety and engineering standards.
4. Supervision & Leadership: Lead Technicians/Fitters, provide guidance, and step in as Supervisor when needed.
5. Safety & Standards: Follow mechanical maintenance standards, safety protocols, and environmental policies.
6. Process Improvement: Identify efficiency improvements in maintenance procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7-8 years in mechanical maintenance (Steel Plant)
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical systems
• Experience with hydraulic circuits, engineering drawings, rigging & slinging
• Knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance
• Ability to lead a team and work independently
• Strong reporting and communication skills (English & Arabic preferred)

• Efficient troubleshooting and quick resolutions
• Process & system improvements

Work Conditions:

• Exposure to: noise, dust, heat, grease, heights, sun, and industrial gases
• Requires physical endurance and safety compliance

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 7-8 years experience in Mechanical maintenance of Steel Plant as a Sr. Technician / Mechanic
• 5 Years as a Technician / Fitter in a Steel Making manufacturing company
