Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary: The role will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, preparing comprehensive reports and provide actionable recommendations to management. This includes forecasting, financial modeling, strategic planning support, and ad-hoc projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, business planning, and investment decisions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide proactive recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and cash flow.
• Support the development of long-range strategic plans, providing financial projections and scenario analysis.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management on business performance.

Business Support & Collaboration:

• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to provide financial insights and support decision-making on various business initiatives.
• Evaluate the financial feasibility of new projects, investments, and business opportunities, conducting cost-benefit analyses, discounted cash flow (DCF) valuations, and other relevant financial assessments.
• Prepare and present financial presentations to management and other stakeholders, effectively communicating complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Process Improvement & Systems:

• Identify opportunities to improve existing financial processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software (e.g., ERP, FP&A tools).
• Develop and maintain documentation for financial processes and procedures.

Ad-hoc:

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned by HOD.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices in financial analysis, and relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).

Education, Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Professional Qualification such as CFA or MBA.
• 6+ years of experience in Financial Analyst role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
• Experience with financial planning and modelling is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.
