Senior Finance Manager

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager on behalf of our client, a leading bank in DIFC Dubai.

The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for asset and liability management and financial risks management including liquidity, marketing and banking book interest rate risk management and relevant reporting, assisting the Head with accounting and financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform asset and liability management.
• Financial risks management including monitoring and reporting daily liquidity risk, market risk and banking book interest rate risk on a timely basis as required.
• Prepare and update relevant policies and procedures on liquidity risk, market risk and banking book interest rate risk and others as required.
• Prepare various reports to regulators and Head Office and ensure the reporting compliant with regulatory and Head Office requirements.
• Assist the Department Head in managing the accounting functions of the Branch's activities in compliance with the relevant accounting standards, developing and maintaining effective internal control and accounting systems and policies for the Branch.
• Assist the Department Head in developing annual budget for the Branch, reviewing and approving daily payments and journal entries, and performing financial performance assessment at regular intervals.
• Support the business teams with liquidity and transaction management; Work closely with the business teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost.
• Review new product proposal and design accounting flows and methods of recording and controls in the systems, conduct testing of accounting transactions in the systems and certify the same for implementation.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Department Head, Senior Management and Head Office.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, commerce or finance.
• Proven experience in liquidity, market risk, and banking book interest rate risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of financial risk management models relevant to banking organizations and asset and liability management.
• Strong numeracy and reconciliation skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and interpersonal competencies.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in coding languages such as VBA or equivalent tools.
• Professional accounting certifications such as CA or CPA.
