Senior Finance Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager for our food production business in Dubai.

Purpose of the Job:

The highly skilled and strategic Senior Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations, cost management, and production finance of our Industrial Bakery and Catering Business in the UAE. This role is critical in driving cost efficiency, profitability, and operational excellence within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost accounting, production finance, and supply chain finance in food manufacturing or FMCG setup.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Production Finance Management

• Oversee financial operations related to manufacturing, production, and inventory.
• Develop and implement cost control measures across raw materials, production, labor, and overheads.
• Monitor production variances, yield efficiencies, and wastage analysis to optimize profitability.
• Work closely with production and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and resource allocation.
• Conduct financial impact assessments of operational decisions, including CAPEX investments.

Cost Accounting & Margin Optimization

• Implement cost accounting systems to accurately track raw material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Analyze cost structures, pricing models, and profitability margins for bakery and catering operations.
• Establish standard costing methods and continuously assess variances against actual performance.
• Develop and manage cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality.
• Ensure accurate reporting of production costs, COGS, and inventory valuation.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial models for production and operations.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze key cost drivers, and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with supply chain, procurement, and production teams to optimize working capital and cost efficiencies.

Inventory & Supply Chain Finance

• Oversee inventory valuation, stock movements, and procurement cost tracking.
• Ensure optimal stock levels to balance demand, minimize wastage, and reduce holding costs.
• Monitor supplier pricing trends and contract negotiations to achieve cost savings.

Compliance & Financial Controls

• Ensure adherence to UAE VAT, corporate tax, and financial regulations.
• Lead internal audits and financial risk assessments for manufacturing and procurement processes.
• Implement strong internal controls to prevent financial leakages and inefficiencies.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor the finance and cost accounting team to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
• Work closely with operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to align financial and business goals.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Education and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).

Certification: CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA is highly desirable.

Experience: 12+ years of experience in finance, cost accounting, and manufacturing finance, preferably in food production, FMCG, or industrial bakery/catering industries.

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in cost accounting, financial modeling, and ERP systems.

In-depth understanding of manufacturing cost structures, production variances, and supply chain finance.

Knowledge of UAE VAT, IFRS, and corporate taxation.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
