Job Description

The Project Cost Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the profitability of elevator projects by meticulously analyzing costs, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions. He will be responsible for safeguarding project budgets, fostering a culture of cost-consciousness, and reporting to support efficient financial management and decision-making within the company.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Partner with project managers and sales teams during the bidding stage to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
2. Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
3. Support the development of long-term cost control strategies for the elevator business.
4. Monitor and track project costs throughout the entire lifecycle, from procurement to installation.
5. Analyze cost variances between actual spending and budgeted amounts, identifying root causes of deviations.
6. Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts, keeping stakeholders informed of project financial health.
7. Work collaboratively with all departments (engineering, procurement, operations) to gather cost data and ensure adherence to cost control procedures.
8. Recommend and implement cost-saving measures to mitigate budget overruns.
9. Ensure that all project costs are aligned with contractual agreements and company standards.
10. Ensure proper documentation for all project expenditures and financial reports.
11. Evaluate the financial impact of project changes and delays.
12. Continuously evaluate and refine internal cost control processes for efficiency and accuracy.
13. Develop and implement cost-management training programs for relevant personnel.
