Senior Estimating Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer, reporting directly to HOD- Estimating Department to join the team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

About The Role:

As Lead / Senior Estimating Engineer, your main task will be to produce a project EPC cost estimate for a specific services contract (FEED, Conceptual, Feasibility) for a Client.

After agreeing with the Client on the Estimating Methodology / Plan, you will prepare the project EPC cost estimate and overall cost summary. You will present the cost estimate to the Client until its approval.

You may be involved as Senior Estimating Engineer for mega project cost estimates or as a Lead Estimating Engineer for medium to small project cost estimates.

Experience required at least in one of the following segments: onshore, offshore, subsea.

Your main responsibilities are:

• To study and understand the scope of work, contract, schedule, project execution, local conditions, and construction execution of a specific project/proposal.
• Follow up and coordinate with other departments for bill of quantities and firm up costs.
• Conduct review meetings internally with Engineering Departments, Procurement and Subcontracts, and Construction.
• Actively take part in risk review meetings to ensure accuracy of cost risk evaluation.
• Dealing with COMPANY requirements.

From time to time, you will also be involved in updating the Estimating Database.

Knowledge in Project Economics (NPV, IRR,…), Risk Management, Construction, or any specific Engineering specialty will be appreciated.

You have an Engineering Degree- Mechanical / Instrumentation with at least 10 years of experience in Estimating.

Candidate must have past references on services contracts (FEED, Conceptual…), preferably in the Middle East.

Projects will be related to implementing Oil & Gas facilities, onshore, offshore, and subsea.

Good understanding of process units, construction, and project execution is a must.

Skilled in the use of the MS Office package, particularly Excel.
