Al Ramz Capital is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Senior Trader Institutional Equities to join our growing team. This position will be responsible to perform all sales and trading activities whilst ensuring that those activities are within the internal policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Act as the first point of contact with the clients and be responsible for providing unparalleled client service to both existing and prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Trading
Follow up with existing clients on their current portfolios and future requirements.
Identifies new target client to meet assigned acquisition and retention targets.
Responsible for getting or writing orders for stock purchases and sales, recording and verifying stock transactions, accepting and delivering securities, tracking stock price fluctuations, keeping records of daily transactions, monitoring trading limits for individual customers.
When necessary, with the approval of the Department Head, coordinate with the Finance and Operations on requests to the Executive Management to increase the Company's trading limit.
Quality Management
Provide a consistent, high quality trading service for the business and meet or exceed the targets.
Provide a study on market trends and assist in the achievement of the trading plans and suggest strategies to maximise return to the business and its clients.
Report Management / Reporting
Prepare and maintain reports summarizing daily transactions and earnings for institutional customer accounts on each transaction basis.
Prepare and coordinate transfer and delivery of share certificates between companies, departments and customers.
Prepare reports on total holdings, interest, brokerage fees, and commissions for submission to the Head of Institutional Equities.
Adherence to law
Ensure that all trading activities are within regulatory requirements.
Adhere to the Code of Ethics and internal policies and procedures of the Company.
Verify the identity of each customer before any transaction is endorsed.
Record all the transaction information and ensure that fraud or chances of errors are eliminated.
Management of Performance
Prepare daily activity reports and operational results comparison.
Liaise with the Head of Institutional Equities on trading activities.
Client Relationship
Respond to client queries and provide them with adequate information / stock performance through Customer Relations Management.
Compute total holdings, interest, brokerage fees and commissions.
Allocate appropriate payments to customers with the approval of the Head of Institutional Equities.
Check the sufficiency of customers balance before endorsing the buying of orders.
New Client Acquisition
Attract fresh client portfolios / AUM (assets under management) on a continual basis as per the KPI's set by the Division Head.
Proactively enhance and promote company services to capture additional trading revenue and increased market share.
Achieve annual sales & business development targets, as set for individual and assigned profit centre.
Prepare verbal and written communications, reports, and sales presentations.
Qualifications:
Mandatory: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Banking.
Minimum 7 years experience in stock brokerage, banking, finance houses or equivalent financial organization.
Competencies or Skills:
Financial and stock market trading business knowledge, good knowledge and exposure to ADX, DFM and SCA rules and regulations.
Analytic and Quantitative Skills.
Customer Relationship Management.
