About the Role

Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Sr. Wet Utilities Engineer for its Land Development team in Abu Dhabi, to support with the technical delivery of multiple master-planning/land development projects across the Emirate.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

1. Prepare reports and design documentation for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water infrastructure projects.
2. Prepare hydraulic modelling for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water.
3. Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
4. Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure projects to Mott MacDonald clients.
5. Conduct a technical review for progress reporting.
6. Liaising/meeting with developers, clients or stakeholders to update on progress.
7. Provide any reports update to the projects design managers and project managers including clients when needed.
8. Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements.
9. Report and advice on deviations from the same.
10. Assist in providing design, reports, and liaison role for all disciplines/departments.
11. Assist the Manager/Senior Engineers or Designates in work coordination with other Mott MacDonald teams.
12. Assist in providing marketing support to the team with current and future clients.
13. Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues.
14. Outline cost and quantity estimation for wet services.

Candidate Specification

1. Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering; progressing towards Professional Registration (CEng or similar) with membership in a professional institution.
2. Design of pressurised and gravity systems using Civil3D.
3. Hydraulic modelling of pressurised and gravity systems.
4. Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, clients and stakeholders.
5. Experience of design and approval of infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
6. In-depth understanding of Abu Dhabi Authority Guidelines is a must.
7. Sound knowledge of local authority and standards mainly (DPM/UPC, ADDC, TRANSCO, DoE/ ADWEA, ETISALAT, DU, RSB, ADM, DEWA, RTA, DM).
8. Experienced in BIM.
9. In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must.
10. Must come from a strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects.
11. Project Management Professional, or similar qualifications.
12. Experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, Openutilities etc.
