2. JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
The Senior Engineer - System Performance and Compliance Monitoring is responsible for supporting the Management System by maintaining and achieving company approvals, coordinating and performing audits, developing necessary documents, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the company's adherence to quality and safety standards, supporting audits, and managing the documentation necessary for regulatory compliance.

High school diploma + associate degree/vocational/technical school degree in quality assurance/management or related discipline. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
At least 5 years of solid and relevant experience in the field can substitute for a bachelor's degree.
Investigator certification required.
Auditor certification preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineer/safety engineer roles in the aviation industry.

Aviation Regulations Compliance: In-depth understanding of international and local aviation regulations, including FAA and EASA standards. Ability to interpret, implement, and ensure organizational compliance with these regulations. Keep abreast of regulatory updates and adapt internal processes accordingly.
Management Systems Expertise: Profound knowledge in implementing and maintaining Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on standards like ISO 9001 and AS9100. Ability to develop and refine processes to align with system requirements. Skill in conducting internal audits to assess the effectiveness of these systems.
Auditing Techniques: Expertise in planning, conducting, and reporting on internal and supplier audits. Proficiency in risk-based audit methodologies and root cause analysis. Ability to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to enhance compliance and efficiency.
Documentation and Visual Management: Skill in creating and managing complex documents, manuals, and procedures required for regulatory approvals. Knowledge of visual management tools and techniques, such as Kanban boards and process flowcharts, to enhance transparency, communication, and efficiency within the organization.
Communication and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional communication skills, including active listening, concise articulation, and effective presentation. Ability to negotiate effectively with regulatory authorities, customers, and internal stakeholders. Skilled in diplomatically resolving conflicts and addressing concerns to maintain positive relationships.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) for creating comprehensive reports, presentations, and data analysis. Familiarity with specialized software used in aviation compliance management and documentation, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in tasks.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and solve complex issues related to compliance and system performance. Ability to think critically, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions. Proactively identify potential problems and devise innovative solutions to prevent recurrence.

Ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects related to compliance, system improvements, or process optimization.
