Senior Electrical Engineer -GIS ITC Witness

The DEWA approved GIS witness Engineer shall be reporting to Project Manager and shall be conversant with:

1. EHV Substations of voltage level 220/132 kV.
2. Testing and Commissioning of complete Gas insulated switchgear of various makes like Siemens, ALSTOM, Hitachi, ABB, Toshiba, JAEP & any other makes.
3. Testing and commissioning of the Current transformer and Voltage transformers.
4. Schemes and Component checking pertaining to 220/132kV GIS system.
5. Functional checks.
6. Relevant international standards on testing and commissioning activities.
7. New technologies to identify potential applications.
8. Witness engineers must have a minimum of 15 years experience in having developed a recognized career path.
9. Extensive experience in testing and commissioning.
10. Must be fluent in written and spoken English with good technical skills applied to producing reports and literate in use of MS Office and Primavera applications.
11. Must have experience of working within an ISO quality environment.
12. Good knowledge of applicable design standards and codes gained from a European power design environment is essential (i.e., IEC, IEEE, ISO, and BS).
13. Must be able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility both as an individual and as a strong team player coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering is Mandatory.
