Senior Electrical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of Department to join our Electrical team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job purpose:

1. Takes ownership of specific tasks in a project.
2. Technical responsibility for Electrical Design for onshore/offshore oil and gas facilities.
3. Performing design calculations.
4. Coordination with other disciplines/entities.
5. Developing study reports.
6. Reviewing vendor documents.

Profile Must have:

1. Electrical Engineering Degree with 10-15 years of experience in design and execution of projects.
2. ETAP power system study experience.
3. Experience with offshore/onshore facilities.

Need to have:

1. Site survey/report preparation experience.
2. Gathering design inputs based on field surveys before proceeding with engineering.

Main Accountabilities:

1. Electrical design experience in Oil & Gas industries.
2. Preparation of offshore electrical survey checklist.
3. Design for MV and LV power systems.
4. Design for cable tray, earthing, and lighting systems.
5. Design and knowledge of ESP surface equipment like VDS, output transformers, MVD, MV or LV switchboards, UPS systems, etc.
6. Communication/coordination with Lead Engineers/PMs.
7. Meeting quality and safety objectives of the project.
8. Ensures timely internal and external reporting on engineering.
