Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi location.

Main Purpose of Role:

Key Engineering Role within the business to lead discipline performance on projects & to provide expert technical design leadership and design assurance on projects as required.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant discipline from recognized university.
2. Master’s degree in relevant discipline will be an added advantage.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

Essential:

1. 10 - 17 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.
2. Previous experience in Region.
3. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Lead Engineer.
4. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in FEED projects approved by ADNOC group of companies.

Technical Knowledge and Skills (Discipline Specific):

1. Knowledge of in-depth engineering processes.
2. Experience with international codes, standards, and engineering practices.
3. Must be experienced with all aspects of design from concept to detailed design.
4. Technical analysis of engineering problems.
5. Preparation of non-critical engineering design documents.
6. Knowledge of detailed engineering of electrical systems including design calculations, protection and relay coordination, preparation of single line diagrams, layouts, schedules, specifications, etc.
7. Must have experience in power system analysis using ETAP / CYME or equivalent, short circuit calculations, load flow calculations, harmonic analysis, selectivity analysis, and transient stability analysis.
8. Knowledge of sizing and specifications of normal and emergency power generation and distribution, motor control centres, UPS, DC system, utility electrical systems, power, earthing, and lighting.
9. Must have experience in the design of high voltage and high power electrical distribution systems.
10. Knowledge of field testing procedures and field test equipment.
11. Must have a demonstrable ability to provide top class engineering deliverables, as directed by the Project Study lead, without constant supervision, as per company technical competency standards.
