Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client, a master developer in Dubai, seeks a highly experienced and skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and execution of electrical systems for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant Dubai Electrical Design Codes, Regulations, and DEWA requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and development of electrical systems for high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments, and other complex projects.
2. Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
3. Ensure compliance with all applicable Dubai Electrical Design Codes, Regulations, and DEWA requirements.
4. Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines (structural, mechanical, architectural) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
5. Liaise with DEWA and other regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
6. Conduct site surveys and inspections to verify design accuracy and adherence to specifications.
7. Prepare and present design reports and presentations to project stakeholders.
8. Oversee the work of junior engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and training.
9. Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring cost-effective design solutions.
10. Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the design process.
11. Stay current with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and DEWA regulations.
12. Use relevant software to manage projects and produce drawings.
13. Review contractor's shop drawings and ensure compliance with the approved designs.
14. Contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable electrical design solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum [Number] years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects in Dubai.
3. In-depth knowledge of Dubai Electrical Design Codes, Regulations, and DEWA requirements.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant electrical design software.

6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
8. Experience with BIM is highly advantageous.
