Senior Director for Enterprise Applications

Job Purpose

The primary purpose is to manage and oversee the daily operations of the teams within the Enterprise Applications section. The role involves driving the development of new solutions that can be applied across various functions, as well as supporting and maintaining the software and application platforms that serve the entire organization. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Director for Enterprise Applications is a pivotal role within e& UAE, tasked with the responsibility of steering the Enterprise Applications section towards operational excellence and innovation. They are the driving force behind the management, strategic direction, and enhancement of software and application platforms that serve the entire organization. The role demands a proactive leader who can effectively manage day-to-day operations while simultaneously envisioning and implementing forward-looking IT solutions that align with cross-functional business needs.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining an organizational structure that supports the company's strategic objectives through cost-effective technology.
2. Shaping the technology roadmap by staying abreast of external trends and integrating new methodologies into the section's practices.
3. Focusing on the strategy and implementation of DevOps, fostering a culture of continuous integration and delivery to enhance the section's agility and responsiveness.
4. Collaborating with vendors to understand product roadmaps and ensuring that the Enterprise Applications section is positioned to leverage upcoming capabilities at the right time.
5. Managing and growing core platform teams, ensuring harmony with other cross-functional teams to support a robust DevOps environment.
6. Teaming up with subject matter experts, business partners, and architects to develop technical solutions that align with the business and technology capability roadmap.
7. Ensuring that applications are maintained on supported versions through timely upgrades and integrating technical and non-functional requirements into end-to-end solutions.
8. Leading the incorporation of AI capabilities within the domain, reimagining existing processes, and spearheading change management.
9. Managing the section's performance, ensuring outputs and services meet quality standards and are in line with directors' expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:
B. BE/BSIT/BSc in IT and/or Telecom Engineering with 5 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field; Masters preferred.

Experience:
10+ years of IT experience, with a preference for telecom sector background.

Skills:
Proven track record of aligning IT with corporate strategies. Visionary leadership with the ability to anticipate industry trends. Strong business acumen, particularly in telecom. Leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive team performance. Proficiency in KPI development and IT Security Risk Management. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement. High ownership, accountability, and a passion for IT innovation.
