We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to optimize our data onboarding processes and enhance the onboarding experience for Quant Portfolio Managers (PMs). The ideal candidate will streamline the integration of new data sources and facilitate the efficient onboarding of PMs, ensuring they have timely access to critical resources.
Your main goal is to shorten data onboarding and quant PM onboarding overhead, providing an excellent user experience to our quant PMs.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Onboarding Optimization:
Manage the end-to-end process of integrating new data feeds and datasets.
Collaborate with data vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure data quality and reliability.
Develop and maintain documentation for data onboarding procedures.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
PM Onboarding Enhancement:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide PMs with required data, tools, and system access.
Streamline onboarding workflows to reduce time-to-productivity for new PMs.
Serve as a point of contact for PMs during their onboarding period to address inquiries and facilitate resolutions.
Monitor onboarding metrics and feedback to continually refine the onboarding experience.
Provide standardized training sessions or materials to educate PMs on data platforms and best practices.
Collaboration with Data Engineers:
Review data integration work done by data engineers, from an end-user perspective, provide critical feedback, set user experience & performance targets.
Use industry knowledge to provide directions for system build/purchase, covering data contract/invoice lifecycle management, data access control/audit, usage reporting, and cost split.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in data management, onboarding, or project management within the financial services industry.
Familiarity with data integration tools and platforms; experience with SQL, Python, or related technologies is a plus.
Understanding of quantitative trading environments and the importance of data integrity and accessibility.
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
