Senior Data Scientist

Overview

The Opportunity:

Presight is looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will spearhead our LLM initiatives, optimize the existing models, and develop novel applications based on open source LLM or OpenAI API. He/she would ensure the quality and performance of our AI solutions, keeping our technology at the industry's cutting edge.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize LLMs using techniques such as Transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and tokenization.
2. Lead LLM application development, aligning outputs with business needs.
3. Collaborate on scalable data pipelines for training LLMs.
4. Extract relevant features for machine learning tasks from large datasets.
5. Translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.
6. Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in the field.
• Hands-on experience with GPT, BERT, or related LLMs.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and NLP libraries such as NLTK, SpaCy, Stanza, etc.
• Experience with vector databases, text embeddings, and their applications in information retrieval or recommendation systems.
• Experience with MLOps tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and practices for model lifecycle management.
• Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
