Senior Data Scientist

We’re partnered with a leading insurer that’s investing heavily in data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics. They’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing team and play a key role in delivering predictive modeling, machine learning solutions, and pricing optimization.

About the role:

• Building and deploying machine learning models to enhance risk assessment and pricing strategies.
• Working closely with actuaries, underwriters, and data engineers to drive insights from complex datasets.
• Leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) to develop scalable solutions.
• Applying machine learning and statistical techniques to real-life use cases, ensuring models deliver measurable business impact.
• Developing and fine-tuning predictive models that improve decision-making across underwriting, claims, and fraud detection.
• Driving innovation within the team by exploring new methodologies and tools.

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in data science, ideally within insurance, financial services, or a related field.
• Proven experience in building and deploying models that solve real-world business problems.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• A commercial mindset - able to translate data insights into business value.
• Familiarity with pricing models, fraud detection, or claims analytics would be a bonus!
